Doris Lessing
Doris Lessing is a distinguished writer of over 40 books, including novels, a compilation of essays, and a book about cats. Born in Persia and raised in Rhodesia, Lessing was among a group of white settlers. Her setting in life exposed her to the injustices of racial segregation, which has inspired much of her writing.
